Actually if you look acrefully on this list there are several hdd vendors; Seagate, WD, and several storage (sic) companies.
It would be interesting to hear Phil Drinkwater's or Clayton Christensesn's take/opinion/vision on this, especially after reading THe Innovator's Dilemna. It seems that these few vendors are getting adept at fighting off the disruptive technologies of Flash, NAND, DVD, Zip, Jazz, IP Storage etc..
Or is it a case of So Far So Good. Watch this space..
Two possible interpretations:
(1) So far so good, as you say.
or
(2) They've read Christensen.
Anyone else with a thought?
so far no other thoughts i see, but oddly enough I have had another thought.
Pehaps it is that they have not only read Christensen but applied it as well!!!
The other ones (substitute dead for other if you want) just read it, or perhaps just bought it but didn't read it.
